Like your pictures very much. One question: what is the island on the right of your top pic - North Ronaldsay?

Arnish Lighthouse from Stornoway

Hello Arnish Lighthouse, The top picture is looking across the Bay of Brough and the land you see is not an island but the Ness of Brough, a peninsula on the other side. The mounds that can be seen are the Styes of Brough, ancient burial mounds which were investigated by the Time Team television program some years ago. The sun is setting over Papa Westray which can be seen in the daytime and North Ronaldsay light can be seen at night from the same position by turning about 45 degrees to the right.
