Louise was born in London and studied at the University of Edinburgh and Royal College of Music. She’s been a member of the Opera Frankfurt ensemble since 2014, and roles there have included Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Cleopatra (Giulio Cesare), Gilda (Rigoletto), Musetta (La bohème), Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel), Sophie (Der Rosenkavalier) and the title role The Cunning Little Vixen.

Elsewhere Louise has sung Eurydice in Luigi Rossi’s Orpheus (Royal Opera); Ilia, (Idomeneo) at Garsington; Sophie (Der Rosenkavalier) for WNO & Glyndebourne/BBC Proms and Lucia (The Rape of Lucretia) and Zerlina (Don Giovanni) at Glyndebourne. Recent concert highlights include Vaughan Williams’ Symphony no 3; Handel’s Il delirio amoroso (Edinburgh Festival); Mozart’s Mass in C minor (BBC Proms); Poppea in L’incoronazzione di Poppea (with the Academy of Ancient Music) and Anne Trulove in The Rake’s Progress (Warsaw Beethoven Festival).

Forthcoming engagements include the title role in Semele and further roles in Frankfurt, Garsington and Glyndebourne and her debut for the Teatro Real in Madrid. Louise is a keen recitalist, and collaborates regularly with pianists Helmut Deutsch, Joseph Middleton, James Baillieu and Gary Matthewman. She won Glyndebourne’s 2014 John Christie Award and the 2015 inaugural British Soloists’ Competition.
