The glitz and glamour of the Ballroom may feel like worlds away from Walford, but Emma Barton’s strutting out of Queen Vic as she joins our 2019 line-up!

Portsmouth-born Emma has been acting from a young age, graduating from Guildford School of Acting in 1998. She went on to star in BBC One spy drama Spooks and soap Doctors, as well as stage shows Grease, Loveshack and Thoroughly Modern Millie.

In 2005 she joined the cast of EastEnders as Honey Mitchell, marking the start of her long and lustrous run in Albert Square. She first starred in the soap until 2008, heading off to tread the boards of the West End, as well as taking part in Celebrity MasterChef and Celebrity Mastermind.

EastEnders came calling again in 2014, seeing her returned for a brief stint, eventually becoming a Walford regular again in 2015 until the present day. In fact, many of Emma's cast mates encouraged her to give Strictly a whirl, along with some other celebrity friends.
