Tom Daley gets snap-happy

Olympic diver Tom Daley began diving at the age of seven and in 2004 he became the youngest ever under-18 champion at the national championships.

He represented Great Britain in Beijing at the 2008 Summer Olympics where he was Britain's youngest competitor and at the 2012 Olympics in London, he won bronze in men's 10m platform.

After his success at the London 2012 Olympics he mentored competitors on ITV's celebrity diving show Splash!

But away from the diving board, Tom loves photography and getting creative on his YouTube channel.

How do you get creative outside of work?

I have a YouTube channel that I love creating content for. I’ve always got my camera with me, whether I’m diving, on holiday or just hanging out with my friends.

How does it make you feel?

I’ve always enjoyed being creative. I did photography at A-Level and felt like it was a good escape from other school work and training. You can get lost in the subject and I’ve enjoyed learning about the technical side of things too, like lighting.

Why would you encourage other people to get creative?

I find it really relaxing. There aren’t any rules or boundaries, which is fun!
