Where do I recognise Isla Fisher from, again?

Aussie actress Isla Fisher popped in to chat to Scott Mills this morning, not just because she’s awesomely lovely or even the fact she's got a new book out (called Marge in Charge, if you must know), but to spill the beans on working with Hollywood comedian Zach Galifianakis, on her latest movie Keeping Up with the Joneses.

But who is Isla Fisher and where do you definitely recognise her from?

Home and Away back in the day

So, if you grew up in the ‘90s the chances are you would’ve watched ITV’s rival to the BBC’s Neighbours, where Isla made her debut as schoolgirl Shannon way back in 1994 and her career grew from there. Since her three-year stint in fictional Summer Bay, she’s gone on to do a lot, including basking in Hollywood stardom...

"Guy Pearce, Heath Ledger, Naomi Watts, I think Russell Crowe did an episode," Isla recalls in an interview in 2010 with BBC News.

"We all sort of did our work experience, so to speak, on Home and Away!"

And speaking of Russell Crowe, the TV turned Hollywood superstar recently spoke to our resident film critic Ali Plumb.

Hollywood highlights

Since featuring in the above, Isla has starred in a number of high-profile films, such as Oscar-winning animation Rango, Bachelorette, Now You See Me, and TV’s Arrested Development. Ring any bells yet?

Which leads us to perhaps her biggest film role to date, Confessions of a Shopaholic, about an obsessive, New York-based financial journo from 2009. But just in case you haven’t seen it, it’s far from her only notable role, that’s for sure.

Most recently, she appeared in Grimsby, which was something of a family affair...

Her eccentric hubby

Because she appears in it alongside husband Sacha Baron Cohen (that's Borat to you and I), who she's been married to for the past six years; parenting two kids with the Bruno star.

The future…?

OK, this isn't as mystic as it sounds, but, as she reveals to Scott Mills (below), things were more than a little lively on the set of Keeping Up with the Joneses co-stars Zach Galifianakis, Wonder Woman’s Gal Gadot, and Mad Men’s Jon Hamm.

‘He was so funny I couldn’t cope’

Keeping Up with the Joneses is in UK cinemas from 28 October, 2016.
