| | | Tell me more! | A 360 of the auditorium, orchestra pit and stage of Wakefield Theatre Royal. The Theatre Royal and Opera House in Wakefield is a fine old Victorian theatre, opened in 1894 since when, off and on, it has been entertaining people from Wakefield and further afield. It is the smallest Frank Matcham-designed theatre in England.
It provides a venue for touring productions, light and classical, and a home for local amateur dramatic and musical groups. It's a Grade II listed building!
