The National Museum of Photography, Film and Television in Bradford is one of the most recent jewels in West Yorkshire's crown but in its twenty years of existance it has established itself as the most visited museum outside London.
Much more than just a museum, it also houses what was the first Imax theatre in the UK and has two other cinemas which show both art-house and more mainstream films. The Pictureville auditorium is the only public Cinerama cinema in the world. It is the home of the Bradford International Film and Bite the Mango Festivals as well as many other events. The Museum collection comprises more than three million objects and will soon house the Royal Photographic Collection. The building itself has already been expanded and given a new facade to bring it into the digital age
