Back on a Friday where people have been working, Now Playing has been another incredibly fun show to put together and hopefully you have enjoyed listening to it!
If you keep up with our Digital Digests on this blog you would have read Pixies members Joey Santiago and David Lovering hinted in an interview to Spinner a new album may be on the way - so we decided to work with you to put together a playlist focussing on the Boston band.
We also invited I Like Music and Robot Pigeon onto the show to impart some musical wisdom and even managed to play some orchestral Daft Punk.

Yuksek - On a Train (recommended by Michael from Robot Pigeon)
Frank Black - Headache (via Text)
The Dandy Warhols - Cool as Kim Deal (via Facebook)
#Listener's Mix - Hannah Brown who has developed a form of synaesthesia where music triggers phantom smells.
The Sea and Cake - New Schools (This aroma is so strong it sometimes makes my eyes water. This one is of crisp cleanly washed and ironed linen)
Bibio - The Ephemeral Bluebell (The texture and tone of the guitar gives me a warm and musky wooden aroma, like autumn bonfires, dried leaves, burning incense or the inside of a brand new acoustic guitar)
Feathers - Old Black Hat with a Dandelion Flower (Like entering a damp forest on a warm morning - pinewood, crushed leaves, morning dew and soft floral tones)
Broadcast - Living Room (Just like sticking my head into an old box of dried flowers, lavender, rose petal sandalwood, jasmine and a whole other mix of perfumes I can’t event explain or define)
Darkstar - Dear Heartbeat (Sweet candy, Palma violets and cough candy twists. It’s a very subtle mix of cold metal and sweet flavours which is really hard to explain in words)
Boards of Canada - Roygbiv (My all time favourite olfactory track. The hefty analogue synthesiser sets my synaesthesia on fire - smells of citrus, orange peel, honey and the sweetest musky incense)
The Beatles - Helter Skelter (via E-Mail)
