#Sheffield6Music - help Heaven 17 pick the Now Playing playlist
As part of 6 Music’s huge celebration of everything Sheffield this Sunday, Now Playing are delighted to be able to call on Martyn Ware and Glenn Gregory of Heaven 17 to take over the show with your help.
This Sunday between 6-8pm the pair want you to help them pick all the music for the show in real time via Twitter. it could be your favourite tracks they’ve been involved with, their contemporaries, other Sheffield artists, people who inspired them or modern acts who wouldn’t be around if it wasn’t for Martyn and Glenn.
So perhaps you could go for:
* Some of their contemporaries like Ultravox, Depeche Mode or Gary Numan
* Their influences could range from Pink Floyd to Kraftwerk via Frank Zappa and Wendy Carlos
* Other Sheffield synth pioneers including the Human League, I-Monster or LFO?
* Modern equivalents you might want to pick could be Delphic. Alt-J, Everything Everything
This is part of a whole day of Sheffield programming on the station which includes Jarvis’ Sunday Service shining a light at his home town, Nemone will be joined by Toddla T, Richard Hawley joins Cerys and Matt Everitt chats to Martin Fry in The First Time.
These are just some ideas – the power is actually in your hands so we want your suggestions with your reasons ahead of Sunday’s show which you can send us by leaving a comment on this blog, commenting on our Facebook page, Tweeting us using #Sheffield6Music, sending us an email or adding a track to our collaborative Spotify playlist.

'Sensoria' gets my vote, haven't stopped playing this track since I first heard it, too many years ago. Oh, can I be cheeky and ask for 'Love Action' by The Human League too? Brilliant song, perfect pop!
