Arcade Fire

This week has all been about partnerships - musical collaborations after the week we have has which has seen musical minds come together like asteroids caught in a gravitational pull. Arcade Fire had Cyndi Lauper join them in stage in America, and also announced Brian Eno is to feature on one of the two new tracks featured on their re-release of TheSuburbs.

As well as that, Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi's album Rome has been streaming all week. Dr Dre and Eminem's new joint, Die Hard, was used on American TV; Beck remixed Jamie Lidell while Josh Homme took the same pleasure reworking Grinderman. And of course, Snoop Dogg teamed up with Charlie Sheen.

We also looked at DJ Shadow after his comeback and invited The Quietus and The Von Pip Musical Express onto the show.

The suggestions, as always, were fantastic from you - so many thanks, and we hope you enjoyed it.

AC/DC - Highway to Hell

#Listener's Mix - 'Obscure Love' from Nick Donovan

Kate Bush - The Infant Kiss (A twisted love interest with a young boy. However, Bush's typical songstress witchcraft manages to convey an innocent girl at the hands of natural love)

Mew - Special (Perfectly portrays the indescribable feeling of falling for someone hook, line and sinker)

CocoRosie - Werewolf (A story of father-daughter love. Nothing strange there, except the Father is a sorceror and the daughter swears never to love another man after his death)

WU LYF - LYF (Obscure mostly in the sense of conveying only one discernable lyric and whole host of mysterious imagery)

Fetch The Witches - Reverie (Manages to encapsulate the awe and passion you recognise you have for someone when you fear for their death inexplicably)

Regina Spektor - Fidelity (Being afraid of stepping out of one's comfort zone and facing the reality of loving another is a common life occurance)

Burial, Four Tet & Thom Yorke - Ego
