A Bitesize guide to making casts in plaster.
Classroom Ideas
Using the clip as a guide, students could experiment with creating their own plaster moulds. These could incorporate disposable containers, such as rubber gloves or plastic bags and bottles, or could be alginate moulds that students have cast from specific objects. The class could discuss plaster as a medium, noting its strengths and weaknesses and using this to inform ideas about when they would use it.
