Super League strugglers Warrington have turned to Wilderspool old boy Paul Cullen in a bid to beat relegation.
The Whitehaven boss, who spent 16 years as player and assistant coach with Warrington, is the club's fourth coach in 12 months.

He replaces David Plange, who was sacked two days ago, and has been handed a contract that runs until the end of the 2004 season.
"It was very difficult to leave Whitehaven but I couldn't walk away from the fight," said Cullen, who will be in charge for the first time when the Wolves visit neighbours Widnes on Sunday.
"I aim to bring honesty and integrity to this club. There is untapped talent here. We have got to stop staring at the abyss because it chokes you.
"The responsibility falls on my shoulders. I will try and lift the players' self-esteem, which at the moment is pretty low because they've been through the mill these last few months."

Cullen, who was assistant coach to Darryl Van de Velde before joining Whitehaven two years ago, takes over from Plange. He in turn succeeded Steve Anderson in midseason as the Wolves desperately battled to pull away from the relegation zone.
Another Warrington old boy Paul Darbyshire, will remain at the club as Cullen's assistant.
