| Friday, 14 February, 2003, 00:16 GMT Broncos home in on 'Prop Idol' ![]() James Hersey, Sam Wilson and Michael Lowis London Broncos have narrowed down their list of potential 'Prop Idols' to just two ahead of this weekend's Powergen Challenge Cup clash with OIdham. New Zealander Sam Wilson impressed Broncos coach Tony Rea but failed to win a short-term deal with the Super League club. "He's a very impressive young player and he put in a great effort," said Rea. "But as a scrum half there is a tremendous amount of responsibility that comes with 'playmaking' and that is a huge ask of anyone." Wilson's departure leaves 20-year-old student James Hersey and Michael Lowis, a 25-year-old polisher, fighting it out for a professional contract. The winner will be revealed on 23 February when London take on Super League rivals Halifax at Griffin Park. | See also: 08 Jan 03 | Super League Top Super League stories now: Links to more Super League stories are at the foot of the page. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
