The 23-year-old striker put pen to paper on a one-year deal last week to become the sixth signing by Swans boss Nick Cusack. And although Thomas said he learned a lot from his seven years with Rovers, he admitted opportunities for young players at the club were limited. He told Swansea's official website: "At a club like Blackburn, it is hard because they will look to spend money on players rather than give youngsters a chance. "I know that there are a lot of good young players at Blackburn that aren't getting a chance. "I need to kick-start my career and this is the ideal place." |
