| Fair-weather fans?
Cardiff's supporters gave their team a standing ovation at half-time against Oldham after one of the best 45 minutes I've seen the team produce. In the final quarter of the game, though, Oldham began to dominate - and that's when the terraces went quiet. Now I know that those sort of periods are precisely when a team needs its fans behind them.
Get off the manager's back. And get off the player's back. Remember where you were two years ago - you didn't have a pot to paint in. There's expectation there, I can understand that, but Lennie Lawrence has the players so start getting behind them. Swansea are, I'm afraid, in serious trouble.
They went to Newport with a full-strength team but couldn't do a job. I know Brian Flynn and I think there'll be a part of him that really wants to have a go at the players for that performance. He's restricted, though, because that's the group of players he has to work with for the rest of the year. I'll send the fans the same message as I sent to the Cardiff supporters. Get behind your team. They need you. I'll close with a word on the Welsh Premier. I still think TNS will win the league, despite their shock defeat against Caernarfon. It'll be close, but I think they will just edge it. They were tired on Saturday. It had been a big match against Cardiff in the FAW Premier Cup midweek, played on a heavy pitch. After that they just couldn't raise themselves for the Cofis at Treflan. | Top BBC Pundits stories now: Links to more BBC Pundits stories are at the foot of the page. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
