| Wednesday, 29 January, 2003, 18:31 GMT Two parties mull Magpies bid ![]() Cash problems have taken their toll at Notts County Notts County administrator Paul Finnity is confident an offer will be made for the cash-strapped Second Division club by the end of February. The Magpies went into administration in the summer, have accrued debts of up to 6m and are still losing an average of up to #70,000 a month. Kroll Ltd's Finnity revealed there are now two parties interested in buying the club, although neither has made an offer as yet. "This is as promising a situation as we have been in since the summer," said Finnity. "The rescue package that was set up in the summer has changed and we are now looking for an actual buyer." Manager Billy Dearden has been unable to sign anyone since arriving in January 2002. He said: "I'm very cheesed off that our financial situation shows no sign of getting any easier. "Our squad is unbelievably thin. I can only keep going with what I have, but it's very frustrating. "The sooner something is sorted out the better for all concerned." |
