| Tuesday, 4 February, 2003, 11:41 GMT Strong signs for Robins Cheltenham Town boss Bobby Gould has signed Hull City defender Greg Strong on loan to bolster the Robins' fight to beat the drop. Cheltenham are yet to concede a goal in two games since Gould took charge but have been hit by injury problems. "As far as defenders are concerned, we are down to our bare knuckles," said Gould. "Ideally I would like to bring forwards in but at this moment in time we have to look at defenders and build on our defence," he told the club's website. Strong has made the move for a month in search of first-team football after making just three appearances for Hull at the start of the season. The 27-year-old, signed by Jan Molby last summer, dislocated an elbow and following his recovery has been unable to force his way into the Tigers' side under new boss Peter Taylor. |
