Scottish midfielder Jamie Stevenson has completed a dream move from Alloa Athletic to Real Mallorca.

The 18-year-old has signed a two-and-a-half year deal with the Primera Liga club.

Stevenson was originally spotted by a Real scout during a summer holiday kickabout.

But he has since completed a successful, second trial spell in Spain.

Father Jim told the Daily Record: "We are all proud of him.

"Jamie has done really well and he's delighted to be joining such a big club."

Stevenson had not even made a first-team appearance for Alloa when Real invited him for an initial trial in October.

He has since played twice for the side propping up Scotland's First Division but returned for a second spell in Spain during December.

Now he will play primarily for Real's youth side but will hope to make his way through the ranks to the Spanish side's first team.

Stevenson had arrived at Alloa after being rejected as a youth with Aberdeen for being too small.
