Stuart Barlow struck twice at Wycombe to give Tranmere only their second away win of the season.

Wycombe centre-back Paul McCarthy hit the Rovers crossbar from close range before the visitors opened the scoring in the second half.

Barlow outpaced Andy Thomson to burst onto a long clearance and lob home keeper Martin Taylor.

The former Everton striker then turned provider, taking advantage of more sloppy defending to play in Simon Howarth for Rovers' second.

Midfielder Michael Simpson hammered in a reply for Wycombe but Tranmere's victory was sealed when Barlow ran clear to clip his shot over Taylor.
