Notts C 2-3 Colchester

Colchester made amends for their FA Cup humiliation against Chester last weekend with a dramatic victory at Notts County.

Two goals from Dean Morgan and a Scott McGleish winner sealed United's first away win since August.

Youngster Morgan put Colchester on their way after seven minutes when he cut in from the left wing and beat two defenders before firing calmly into the net.

But County hit back strongly with two goals in the space of little more than 60 seconds 10 minutes later.

Danny Allsopp fired the home side level with a neat shot on the turn before midfielder Michael Brough found the net off a post.

However, Bill Dearden's side failed to build on their advantage and Morgan equalised for the visitors 10 minutes before the break to set up an exciting second period.

The game swung from end to end before Colchester substitute Scott McGleish grabbed a late winner with a close-range finish, seven minutes from time.

Notts County: Garden, Fenton, Ashton, Jupp, Ramsden, Brough, Whitley, Caskey, Baraclough, Allsopp, Heffernan.
Subs: Mildenhall, Cas, Stallard, Ireland, Riley.

Colchester: Brown, Baldwin, Warren, White, Stockley, Stockwell, Bowry, Izzet, Keith, Morgan, Rapley.
Subs: McKinney, Fitzgerald, Pinault, McGleish, Atangana.

Referee: A Leake (England)
