Morecambe maintained their solid start to the season with a slender victory against struggling Telford at Christie Park.

After a quiet start in which chances were few and far between, Morecambe broke the deadlock just after the half hour.

Wayne Curtis was the man who got it when he rifled a right-foot shot into the top left-hand corner of the net from 20 yards after being supplied by Adriano Rigoglioso.

Lee Elam headed wide just before the hour as Jim Harvey's men sought a second goal but Telford rarely threatened throughout the entire contest.
