Chester 2-1 Burton

Chester extended their unbeaten run to 11 games with a 2-1 victory over Burton Albion at the Deva Stadium.

Lee Glover headed the visitors into the lead, but Ryan Sugden's second-half brace ensured Chester maintained their one-point lead at the top of the table.

Sugden missed chances with head and foot before Glover met Andy Sinton's cross five minutes before the interval.

Sugden atoned for his earlier profligacy when, 10 minutes after the restart, he beat Matt Duke with a low drive and latched on to Steve Harkness' through-ball to seal the points 11 minutes from time.

Chester: Wayne Brown, Ruffer, Bolland, Guyett, Blackburn, Kelly, Harkness, McIntyre, Carden, Sugden, Twiss.
Subs: Michael Brown, Lancaster, Cameron, Brodie, Carey.

Burton Albion: Duke, Kavanagh, Blount, Hoyle, Webster, Dudley, Clough, Kirkwood, Sinton, Moore, Glover.
Subs: Talbot, Farrell, Robinson, Evans, Johnson.

Referee: K Friend (Leicester).
