Guernsey's Heather Watson is through to the quarter-finals of the WTA Cellular South Cup doubles event. The 18-year-old teamed up with Germany's Anna-Lena Groenfeld and defeated Marina Erakovic and Sofia Arvidsson 6-4 6-3. The pair will now face Olga Govortsova and Alla Kudryavtseva in the last eight of the event in Memphis, United States. Watson is also through to the second round in the singles event, where she faces France's Stephanie Foretz Gacon.
