Guernsey 400m runner Dale Garland is confident he will overcome a hamstring injury in time for the summer season. Garland, 30, suffered a hamstring tear in his right leg at the European Trials in Sheffield last Saturday. He told BBC Radio Guernsey: "I'm a little annoyed about the injury as it means that I can't do the European Indoor Championships. "But in a way it means I can now start my training phase for the summer a little bit earlier."
