Heather Watson went out in the quarter-final stage of the Tangipahoa Tennis Classic in Louisiana. The unseeded Guernsey 17-year-old was knocked out by the third seed, China's Shuai Zhang 7-5 6-2 on Friday. Watson and her partner Naomi Broady lost in the competition's doubles semi-finals to American pairing Christina Fusano and Courtney Nagle 6-2 6-1. Watson is next in action on Saturday at a tournament in Metepec on the outskirts of Mexico City.
