Simpson won the British Under-23 Squash in April

Chris Simpson loses in the semi-finals of the Chennai Open after a hard match against the fourth seed Saurav Ghosal.

The Guernseyman, who beat fifth seed Siddarth Suchde in the last round, took just one game as he went down 4-1.

Ghosal took the first two games 11-7 before Simpson took the third 13-11 before the match was finished in the fourth game, 11-7.

For a second time Simpson was involved in the longest game of the round, with it lasting 64 minutes.
