Guernsey's Heather Watson and doubles partner Anne Keothavong have lost in the first round of the Dow Corning Tennis Classic in Michigan. The pair were beaten in straight sets 6-3 6-3 by American Lilia Osterloh and Anna Tatishvili of Georgia. In the first round of the singles, Watson is due to face American Beatrice Capra, who made it through the qualifying stages of the competition. In 2009 Watson became the first Briton to win the US Open girls' singles.
