 Druce and Garland both won their semi-final heats |
Guernsey athlete Tom Druce won the 400m event at the Birmingham Games at the National Indoor Arena. Druce and fellow island runner Dale Garland won their semi-final heats but Garland pulled out of the final with a tight hamstring. UK number one Richard Buck also withdrew leaving Druce to take the final in 47.52 seconds. The result at the weekend has put Druce second in the national rankings, with Garland in third.
