Watson is confident despite missing out on the warm up tournament

Guernsey tennis star Heather Watson says her forced withdrawal from her latest tournament will not affect her chances at the Junior US Open.

The senior Westende event in Belgium was Watson's only warm up tournament ahead of the competition in America, which starts in September.

"I'm still keeping up my tennis and my fitness while I'm back in Guernsey... I'm feeling prepared," said Watson.

"I'll just save all the competitiveness inside of me for the US."
