Jan Chamberlain won the Royal Guernsey Golf Club Ladies Championship with an aggregate score of 149 on Tuesday.

Chamberlain lifted the Canivet Trophy beating second-placed Sue Wellfair by 11 shots with rounds of 74 and 75.

"The conditions were absolutely perfect so no excuses," said Chamberlain who struggled on the front nine.

"I dropped four shots by the turn, but all of a sudden I managed to click and I did the back nine in one under gross," she added.

The La Jaonneuse Trophy for the best nett score was won by Sonia Graham with scores of 72 and 69 for a total of 141.

Graham also took the handicap title, beating Barbara Gilligan and Jan Chamberlain by just one shot.
