Sam Tiua scored two of Jersey's seven tries |
Jersey made it twelve wins in a row with a comfortable 40-21 defeat of Tring on Saturday. Despite conceding an early 7-0 lead, the island side ran in seven tries courtesy of Dave Felton, Nick Trower, Ed Dawson and two each from Steve O'Brien and Sam Tiua. After losing to Bracknell on then opening day of the season, Jersey have opened up a nine point lead at the top of National Three London and meet North Walsham next weekend. "We actually went down at the start of the game and "We were pretty inaccurate for the first 20 minutes," said head coach Ben Harvey. "We wanted to try and start the game as best we can as we've been doing throughout the season but we didn't. "To be fair to Tring they put us under a fair bit of pressure."
