Jersey Rugby Club remain top of National League 3 after a 52-10 victory at Bishops Stortford on Saturday. Jersey were up 31 points to nil by half-time after a period in which they scored four tries in six minutes. Head-coach Ben Harvey said: "Certainly for fifty minutes of the game we played some of the best rugby I've seen." Donovan Sanders scored four tries, while Jersey youngsters Nick Trower, Ed Dawson, David Felton and New Zealander Sam Tuia also made the score sheet. Harvey added that he believes former Coventry number twelve Donovan Sanders has been a hugely positive influence both on and off the pitch. "We know Donovan's a very special player and he adds much more than just being a great player for us. He's been fantastic with the young lads, he's a fantastic rugby player and showed it again today." Jersey are now three points clear of Havant with Dorking, Bracknell and Hertford a further two points behind. Jersey host 11th placed Portsmouth on Saturday 24 October.
