 Guernsey goal-keeper Rosie Davis played exceptionally well
The under-17 girls of Guernsey and Jersey fought to a 3-3 draw in the in the inter-insular clash on Saturday. Jersey took the lead through an Eve Taylor-Cox penalty, before Guernsey fought back through strikes from Julianne Doherty and Chloe Dawes. Louise Mollet drew Jersey level on the stroke of half-time, only for Doherty to restore the visitors' advantage. But some good play from Lucy Le Lievre was finished by Octavia Lamb to ensure honours ended even. "It was a great match and they all played out of their skins. I think it's nice to finish with a draw because both teams deserved it today," said Jersey coach Nicky Quenault. Guernsey coach Caroline Matthews added: "It's a fair result. The girls played excellently today and they worked really hard."
