Jersey are aiming for twelve in a row this weekend |
Jersey Rugby Club travel to Tring this Saturday aiming for a twelfth league win in a row. Jersey will have played all National League Three teams once they have played Tring. After losing at Bracknell on the first day of the season Jersey have been in imperious form averaging 48 points for and just 12 against each game. Jersey head coach Ben Harvey is aiming to make the Bracknell loss the only blip in the season. "This wraps up half of the season and we're hoping we can come away with just that one disappointing loss at the start of the season," said Harvey. | We've been setting some pretty phenomenal standards this season, we're just focusing on our own performance and letting the scoreboard look after itself |
"I'm pretty hopeful we'll have another win this weekend." Tring have only won two matches this season yet Jersey head coach Ben Harvey is not worrying about the opposition, instead focusing on his own team. "We've been setting some pretty phenomenal standards this season, we're just focusing on our own performance and letting the scoreboard look after itself." Jersey will go into the match without their entire starting back row, with Graham Bell, Kern Yates, Ashley Elphinston, Brian Rennison and Ashley Maggs missing. Yates is Dubai playing sevens, while Elphinston is injured. Maggs is ill and Bell has been given a week off to study for exams. Despite the players missing Harvey is not worried. "We have great strength and depth and I am lucky I have a great squad to pick from."
