Jersey centre Donovan Sanders shrugs off another defender |
Jersey enjoyed a comprehensive 39-13 win over Hertford in poor conditions at St Peter on Saturday. The National League Three leaders led 36-8 at half-time, with tries from Donovan Sanders, Nick Trower, Steve O'Brien, Talite Vaioleti and Sam Tuia. Jersey have now won 11 matches in a row and have not lost since the first day of the season when they went down 24-19 at Bracknell. The victory kept them nine points clear at the top of the table. But head coach Ben Harvey said he is wary of teams with nothing to lose. "It's going to be dangerous, all sides are going to be playing for a bit of pride," he said. "The danger is that sides will come out and play against us with no fear." The Island team now only have Tring left to play in the first half of the season. "Certainly so far the boys have been terrific, I've strength and depth everywhere so all in all it's been really good," said Harvey.
