Cornish Pirates ran home an impressive nine tries to beat Birmingham Solihull 62-10 and inflict an eighth consecutive defeat on the Championship strugglers. The Pirates' fifth win of the season ended their own three-match losing streak in the Championship. Despite the scores being level at 3-3 after 20 minutes, Pirates scored four tries before the break to lead 31-3. Bees scored their only try in the second half but the Pirates secured their win with another 31 points. The day was capped off by supporters at the ground raising over £1,600 for the Birmingham Solihull players. The squad had to make their own way to the game due to the club's ongoing financial problems.
