Penberthy made over 700 appearances for Redruth during his playing career |
Redruth went down to a third consecutive National One defeat as they were outplayed by Blackheath at the Recreation Ground on Saturday. The Reds started well, and led 14-11 at the break after a Jack Nowell try and three Aaron Penberthy penalties. But Blackheath came out with renewed vigour in the second period, running in three tries to take the points. Captain Richard Windsor (2), Matt Vaughan and Sean Moan were Blackheath's try scorers. Windsor also added two penalties and a conversion, while Penberthy kicked a drop-goal for the Reds only points in the second period.
