Wharfedale came from behind to beat Redruth by a single point on the opening day of the National One season. The Reds took in a 7-6 lead at half-time following a converted try from Steve Kenward, with two penalties from Wharfedale's Tom Davidson. The visitors rallied after the break with a converted try from Andrew Hodgson and a third Davidson penalty. Redruth scored a second try through Mark Bright, but fell agonisingly short of taking all the points.
