Pete Drewett's side are back in with a chance of winning National One
Exeter Chiefs director of rugby Pete Drewett says his side will be inspired after National One leaders Leeds suffered their first loss this season.
Leeds went down 27-12 at Doncaster meaning Exeter, 40-5 winners over Manchester, are just eight points behind them with a game in hand.
"This league is tough and you have to wait until the last game to see who's there," Drewett told BBC Radio Devon.
"What this has done is inspire us. It gives us a real chance," he added.
"It puts into perspective the good win we had at Doncaster last week.
"What we've got to do now is focus on the next few days and get a good result next Sunday."
His Chiefs side go to fifth-placed Nottingham next week, who themselves enjoyed a club-record 95-5 win at the weekend, while Leeds travel to third-placed Bedford.
"They'll have a tough game at Bedford, I've do doubt about that," said Drewett.
"It's interesting, once one team [beats them], other teams perhaps start fancying their chances.
"It will be a crucial weekend. We've got a lot of respect for Nottingham - they are a very good side and we're going to have to be at our best and have a very good week in terms of preparation if we're to get the result we want."
