Super League side Hull KR have completed their rebuilding for 2008 with the capture of Melbourne prop Garret Crossman on a two-year deal.

The 24-year-old front rower is the ninth close-season recruit by coach Justin Morgan and joins former Storm team-mate Clint Newton at Craven Park.

"I'm sure Garret will become a fans favourite," said a delighted Morgan.

In order to accommodate Crossman, Rovers have released prop Jim Gannon from the final year of his contract.

"Jim is a consummate professional who played a significant role in retaining our Super League status for 2008," said Morgan.

"I'm positive Jim will be a good acquisition for his next club."

Rovers have made sweeping changes to their squad since the end of Super League XII.

They have allowed numerous players to leave but have recruited several big names from the NRL, notably New Zealand Test three-quarter Jake Webster and Wests Tigers duo Ben Galea and Daniel Fitzhenry.

Morgan's side have also signed full-back Shaun Briscoe, former Leeds centre Chev Walker and Harlequins prop David Mills.
