Hull KR snap up Australian Galea

Galea won the NRL Grand Final with Wests Tigers two years ago

Hull KR have signed Australian forward Ben Galea from Wests Tigers.

The 29-year-old second rower has signed a three-year-deal at Craven Park after securing a release from the 12 months remaining on his contract.

Hull KR coach Justin Morgan said: "I'm very pleased to be signing a player with so much experience in the NRL.

"Ben has tremendous leadership skills and an NRL Grand Final to add to his name. He will bring ruggedness and determination to the squad."

Galea, who was in the Tigers side that won the NRL Grand Final two years ago, is Rovers' fourth confirmed signing for next season.

He joins Jake Webster from Gold Coast Titans, Hull full-back Shaun Briscoe and Wakefield winger Peter Fox.
