Sculthorpe tips in-form Saints
Paul Sculthorpe takes on the Wigan defence
Sculthorpe "always knew Wigan would bounce back"
Paul Sculthorpe says the fight for Super League honours is between St Helens, Bradford and Wigan.

And the Saints star reckons his team are the ones to fear most when the play-offs start in a month's time.

"We are peaking at the right time and are probably playing our best rugby of the season," said the Great Britain ace.

Leeds can topple the best teams on their day but I'd probably say it's between us, Bradford and Wigan
Paul Sculthorpe

"Everybody is confident and enjoying themselves at the moment. We've just got make sure we don't get too cocky."

St Helens top the Super League table by two points after overtaking long-time leaders Bradford, who they hammered 50-22 at Valley Parade a fortnight ago.

The Bulls occupy second spot with just four games of the regular season to go, with Wigan breathing down their necks in third, just a point behind.

Leeds and Hull are virtually assured of a play-off place, with Castleford, Widnes and London all fighting for the sixth and final spot.

But as far as Sculthorpe is concerned, the eventual champions will come from the current top three.

"Leeds can topple the best teams on their day but I'd probably say it's between us, Bradford and Wigan," he told BBC Sport Online.

Reigning champions Bradford have faltered in recent games following heavy defeats in successive weeks to Saints and Castleford.

But Sculthorpe is tipping them to bounce back as they go in search of back-to-back titles, insisting: "They are having a poor run of form at the moment but you cannot write them off."

The current Man of Steel is also wary of a rejuvenated Wigan.

"They started off a bit rocky but I always said they would be up there at the end of the year," he said.
