Jersey won two of their four games at the weekend

Jersey's water polo team finished the South Region Men's Championships in fourth spot after two wins and two defeats at Les Quennevais pool.

The home-side played well to beat Oxford 16-10 and impressively controlled their final match to consign East Invicta to a 9-7 defeat.

Jersey had previously lost 12-11 to Southampton after a a last minute goal.

They then lost 10-7 to three-time league winners Worthing, despite going into the final quarter at 7-7.

Jersey finished fourth overall in the championships after goal differences were taken into account.
