Matt Gregory scored four goals against Hythe |
Jersey's water polo team ended the season in fourth place in the South East region when they lost their play-off matches on Sunday. Jersey travelled to Crawley to fight for promotion against the top teams in the east division, after finishing second in the west division last month. They lost their semi-final match 16-12 to Halisham, who fielded a number of players from the under-20 British team. They were then beaten 20-14 by Hythe to finish fourth overall in the region. Captain Nat Snook, who netted six of Jersey's goals in the opening match, said: "I think we did very well and if we continue to improve I believe we will be able to challenge for the title next year."
