Guernsey's Chris Simpson lost to the world number one Nick Matthew in the quarter-finals of the British National Squash Championships. Sheffield's Matthew dominated the match and won 11-8 11-7 11-6. Simpson had previously secured his own straight sets wins in the first two rounds of the tournament to progress. The Sarnian, seeded eighth and ranked 45 in the world, said it was a "great learning experience" for him and he was happy with his performance.
