Ben Lowndes set two new records at Guernsey Swimming Club's 100m Rothschild Series Championships. The 25-year-old beat his existing club record in the individual medley, clocking 1 minute 1.95 seconds, shaving 0.15 off his old record. Lowndes also knocked 0.36 seconds off the backstroke record set in 2008, finishing in 1:01.99. In the girls (14-15) category, Kristina Neves set new records in the individual medley, backstroke and butterfly. Neves recorded a time of 1:06.68 in the individual medley, while finishing the backstroke in 10:06.54, a comfortable 10 seconds ahead of her nearest rival, Alex Butt. In the butterfly, Neves knocked over a second off her old record of 1:06.74, coming home in 1:05.44.
