Teenager Nick Ellison wins Commodores Sailing Cup

Optimist Sailing

Teenager Nick Ellison has won the 2010 Commodores Sailing Cup in an Optimist dinghy at St Catherine's sailing club.

The 13-year-old was in the smallest of the 24 boats on the water, and came out the clear winner on handicap once the results had been adjusted.

Tim Faudemer finished second, while Martin Speller claimed third, with both sailing Laser dinghies.

The three races were organised by Commodore David Carter and Vice Commodore Jeremy Barnes.
