Anaheim reached their second Stanley Cup final in four years as they beat Detroit 4-3 to win the best-of-seven game Western Conference final 4-2. Rob Niedermayer, Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf put the Ducks 3-0 up before Henrik Zetterberg hit back for Detroit.
Samuel Pahlsson then made it 4-1 to Anaheim but two Pavel Datsyuk powerplay goals cut the gap with 3:04 remaining.
Anaheim held their nerve in the closing minutes to set up a Stanley Cup final showdown with the Ottawa Senators.
Game One of the best-of-seven series against Ottawa is in Anaheim on 28 May.
The Senators are bidding to become the first Canadian team to win the trophy since Montreal in 1993.
They reached the final with a 4-1 Eastern Conference final series win over Buffalo.
