Jersey's men's hockey team secured a comfortable 4-0 win over Bristol & West on Sunday in their second-round match of the England Hockey Harrod Trophy. In wet and windy conditions in Bristol, Jersey started quickly taking a 3-0 first-half lead through some entertaining and exciting play. Island men's coach Shelagh Herbert told BBC Jersey she was happy with the squad's performance. "I'm delighted with the win, the team played extremely well." She added: "We played exciting hockey in the first half and really bombarded them." James Weatherall added a second after 15 minutes and Mike James slotted a third to take control of the game, Boswell added his second and Jersey's fourth early in the second half. "The second half wasn't as exciting but it would have been hard to match the first, I'm really pleased," Herbert added. In the last two seasons Jersey have made it through to the quarter-final stages of the Trophy. The third round of the trophy which will be played over the weekend of November 22-23. The draw will be made on Monday.
