Guernsey's footballers secured silver at the Special Olympics, beating Yorkshire 5-3 in Friday's decider in Leicester on Friday.

Several newcomers made up the re-structured team which took gold at the last games.

"We knew we weren't going to win the gold, we didn't have expectations to win gold," said coach Mark Le Page.

"We'd have been happy with a bronze on the way over so a silver was a bonus. They're over the moon with that."
